So when Luther got to the end of the buttons and spread the shirt to either side of her body, he was treated to the sight of her bare skin. He sucked in a breath that sounded almost reverent, and Alanna blushed.
"You are beautiful," he breathed, hand gliding over her skin with feather light touches, almost like he was afraid he was going to break her.
Alanna shivered, not from the cooler air in the room but from wanting him to touch her more. He could bruise her easily, she knew. Leave finger shaped marks wherever he happened to touch her, and she was fine with that. She wanted to be able to look at them later and know that this wasn't a dream.
"Luther," she breathed back. "Touch me."
"I am," he said, pulling back to look at her, a bit confused.
"No," she said. "Touch me." She wrapped a hand around his wrist and pulled his hand to her breast, pressing down with a bit of force so he'd get her point. She didn't want to be handled like she was a porcelain doll or whatever the equivalent was here. Alanna wanted to feel it. She wanted to feel him without him holding himself back.
Something sparked deep in his eyes, and he smiled slowly, pressing his hand even more firmly upon her breast. His fingers found her nipple and pinched it hard, giving it a twist for good measure, and Alanna was lost.
"Oh," she gasped, arching just a bit.
Luther smirked. "Was that what you wanted?"
All she could do was nod.
Regrettably, he moved his hand from her breast down her stomach to the space between her legs. She kept the area trimmed neatly, even here, and he ran his fingers through the short curls before seeking out her entrance.
She was already wet, Alanna could feel that much, and when his fingers pushed into her folds, she gasped again, spreading her legs for him.
"So warm," Luther mumbled and he pushed his finger deep inside of her, a prelude for what was to come.
He worked her up slowly, taking his time, driving her crazy, and her pleasure grew and built until she was shaking and moaning his name, coming on his hand with three of his thick fingers buried to the knuckle inside of her.
He was grinning by then, and he pulled his hand free to clean his fingers with his tongue, holding her eyes as he did it. "You taste delicious," he said. "So sweet."
Alanna didn't have anything to say to that, too busy trying to catch her breath, but she did manage a whimper as Luther finally, finally undid his pants and pushed them down, kicking them off. He, too, was bare under his clothes, and his cock was magnificent.
It was thick and long, flushed and hard already. Alanna was pretty sure that if she wrapped her hand around it, her fingers wouldn't meet in the middle, and she was concerned about where all of that was going to fit.
Luther didn't hesitate, though. He positioned himself over her once more and lowered until the tip of him was prodding at her entrance.
Alanna sucked in a breath, body still pulsing from her orgasm. "Please," she moaned, heedless of the size difference in the moment. "I want you. Please."
He nodded, but looked like he was concentrating on not just ramming himself into her, which she knew she would appreciate later. Right then she just wanted him in her, filling her up.
Slowly, ever so slowly, he pushed in. The head of him slipped into her, thick and filling, and then inch by inch he pressed the rest of himself inside.
Alanna had to work to keep breathing, gasping as her nerves sparked and flared with the pleasure of being stuffed so full. She gripped at Luther's upper arms, nails biting into his skin as she held on tightly and tried not to come immediately.
It was a hard battle against her own body, to be honest. The pleasure was thick and hot inside of her, and it was already building before Luther had ever started moving.
"Hold on," he murmured into her ear, and she nodded, swallowing hard in an attempt to control herself. And then he was pulling out slowly, and she was crying out for him, heat coiling in her belly.
Luther set a slow, even pace, pulling out and pushing in with deep, measured strokes. It was enough to have Alanna gasping and quivering on the edge of another orgasm, and she had to wonder how it would be if he actually went at her with all the lust he wanted to.
But that was a thought for another time. For now she was losing herself in the sensation of him filling her, him touching her, him kissing and nibbling at her neck and shoulder, and how good it felt to be this close to him.
She came once more, his name on her lips as she shook and writhed under him, but he kept going, using her for his pleasure until he too found his completion with a low growl that almost made her want to go again.
When they were both spent, they laid there in his bed, the moonlight casting shadows on the wall, and the room quiet, save for their breathing.
Alanna was smiling, but she was also sleepy, and she wasn't sure if she was meant to stay here with him or go back to her own sleeping spot.
When he didn't offer an opinion either way, she decided that she was comfortable and stayed put, drifting off into untroubled sleep.
Chapter Six: The Overflow
"Luther, oh my god. Luther, please. I need more, I can't—”
"Shh," Luther soothed, sliding a hand down Alanna's back. "It's alright. I've got you."
"That's easy for you to say," she moaned, pushing her hips back against him. "You've got ridiculous stamina. I'm so--ah, god. So close."
He chuckled under his breath, switching his hold on her to grab her hips and pull her back into each hard thrust, making sure she felt every inch of him inside of her.
She was so warm and tight, so amazing, and he was still stunned that they were doing this, even though it was hardly the first time or even the fourth time that they'd come together in this way. Ever since that first night, Luther had woken up with Alanna in his bed. Sometimes she was in his arms, sometimes she had her lips or hand wrapped around his cock, stirring him awake in a pleasurable way that still managed to catch him by surprise.
Now he was on his lunch break, and they were in his house, trying to finish quickly before he had to go report to Queen Varen about a dive.
Alanna was bent over his counter in the kitchen, her pants around her ankles, bottom bare as he pounded into her hard enough that she had to rise up onto her toes. He kept a hold on her, in case she lost her footing, and pushed and pressed himself into her again and again, reveling in the amazing feeling of her slick walls sliding against his sensitive flesh.
It was an amazing feeling, and the noises she made only made things better. The little whines and moans and gasps of his name just made him take her harder, and he smirked when he could tell she was coming again, smacking her butt hard with the flat of one hand.
"Ah!" she cried out, and he felt her go even tighter around him, like she was trying to milk his release from him.
"Depths," he swore under his breath, breathing through it. He wasn't done with her yet. Before this was over, she was going to come again for him. He wanted her to be thinking about this for the rest of the day.
Her moans were like sweet music as he thrust into her, the sound of their bodies meeting ringing out in the kitchen. Luther groaned her name, feeling himself get closer to the edge, and he let go of one of her hips and reached under her to find that sweet little button between her legs that made her writhe and scream for him.
"Oh, that's—” Alanna began, going rigid and then shuddering hard. "That's not fair. That's cheating."
Luther hoped she could hear the smile in his voice when he said "Do you want me to stop?"
She could be so cranky sometimes, even when in the throes of pleasure, and Luther liked to push his luck and see just how far he could take that.
"No," she groaned, legs spreading wider for him. "Don't stop."
"Good girl," he teased, rubbing her in slow circles as he kept thrusting.
In the end, he needed a shower before he could go back to work. He smelled like sex, and his pants were suspiciously stained. Alanna was still in a heap on
the kitchen floor when he came back in, dressed in clean clothes and smelling like the sea instead of like sex.
"Do you need a hand?" he teased her, offering her one anyway.
"Shut up," she said, allowing him to help her up. "You're too smug. I thought you were a nice guy."
"I'm very nice," Luther replied, a smirk playing around his lips. "I could have been eating grilled meat at the marketplace, but instead I came here to give you pleasure. That's a very nice thing to do."
Alanna rolled her eyes at him. "Oh yeah, because it was just me who got pleasure from that, right? You totally didn't enjoy it."
Luther smiled and leaned down to kiss her. "I did not say that. And now I have to go. I am already late, and keeping the queen waiting is a bad idea."
"Go on, then," Alanna replied, trying to sound flippant, but she was betrayed by her smile. "Give the queen my regards."
"I will." Luther bowed at the waist to her, just because he knew it made her laugh, and then he was on his way.
It had been several weeks since Alanna was dropped into his life, and honestly, Luther was having a hard time figuring out what he did before she'd come along. He still worked the same amount, still made time to go to cantinas with Clio and other warriors who were his friends. He still trained and kept himself in shape, still made time for walks to his favorite places.
Nothing had really changed, but things were so much less lonely than they had been before. The notion of having someone to come home to, usually very happy to see him, was a new one for him. He'd never really stopped to consider bonding with anyone or having a long term partner, but now it was on his mind.
Of course, thinking about that with Alanna was foolish beyond all belief. She wasn't from his world, and once the queen came to a decision about what was to happen, she would be going back to where she came from.
And that was for the best. Alanna had never asked to be here. As wonderful as Lin-Vayel was, it wasn't her home. She'd been taken from the place she belonged against her will, and dropped here, and it could have ended up much, much worse.
So he was content with what he had, trying hard not to think about the future, and whistling as he made his way to his meeting with the queen.
It only figured that something would get in his way as he headed there.
"Luther!"
He recognized that voice, and it made him stop and close his eyes, praying for strength. "Jalal."
"Where are you off to, then?"
"I have a meeting with the queen," Luther said, hoping that it would get him out of having to have a long conversation with someone he didn't like all that much.
"I'll walk with you," Jalal said.
Luther nodded and sped up his pace a bit. "Are you on patrol tonight?" Luther asked, going for simple small talk.
"Nah," Jalal said. "It's my night off. Amon and I plan to head off world for a bit. Maybe go to one of the pleasure moons, you know."
"Sounds...exciting," he said, for lack of anything else to say.
"Should be. How's your pet human?"
"Alanna isn't my pet," Luther replied, trying to keep the anger from his voice. "And she's fine."
"Apologies, I just never know how to refer to humans, you know? They're so different and tiny. What do you even do with them?"
Luther wanted desperately to roll his eyes and then end this conversation, but he kept his back straight and kept walking. "I suppose that depends."
"On?"
"The people involved."
"Yeah, that makes sense. What've you been doing with your human?"
"She isn't mine," Luther said. "She belongs to herself."
"Yeah, yeah, okay. But same question, though. What do you do with her? If you dropped a human in my lap, I wouldn't even know where to begin."
Luther had a couple of very nice memories involving what had happened the last time Alanna had been in his lap and how he had very much known where to begin with her (kissing her neck because it loosened her up faster than anything else), but he kept those to himself. No need to start gossip spreading around, and he hadn't even told Clio what was happening between him and Alanna yet. "We talk," Luther said. "We go on walks. She teaches me about art."
Jalal gave him a look that could only be described as lecherous. "You sure that's all the two of you get up to? I mean, she's a human, but she's still a pretty good looking female."
"I don't see how that's relevant," Luther said.
"Sure you don't," Jalal replied. "I bet you look at her, though. Don't see how you couldn't."
Luckily, before Luther could get upset or Jalal could make more insinuations, they had reached the front gate of the palace. Prinna was standing there, clearly waiting for him, and Luther hurried the last several feet to where she was standing, eager for something to interrupt this conversation.
"Prinna," he said, "Sorry I'm late."
She smiled and bowed at the waist. "No harm done. The queen is waiting." She turned her eyes to Jalal. "You were not summoned."
"I know," Jalal said. "I wasn't trying to get in, gorgeous, don't worry."
Prinna gave him a look like he wasn't even worth her time, and Luther turned his head to hide a smile. He waited until Prinna had swung the gates closed in Jalal's face to lean closer and murmur "Prinna, you're a wonder."
She smiled slowly, one eyebrow arched. "I don't have time for idle flattery."
Luther snorted, amused, and let her lead him to the queen.
Varen was in an odd mood when he arrived. She looked like she had been pacing, which wasn't like her, and she looked harried when he stepped into the room.
"Your Majesty," he said, bowing at the waist.
"Luther," she replied. "You are late."
"I know," he said. "I got held up."
"No matter. There is much to discuss." She motioned for him to sit in one of the very nice leather backed chairs that she kept for audiences that didn't require a throne.
Luther sat. He had no idea what this meeting was going to be about, but he was sure all of a sudden that he wasn't going to like it.
He was right.
He didn't like it.
What it boiled down to was that despite their efforts, Varen had no idea who had sent that cargo carrier crashing onto their planet. She'd had Prinna exhaust every lead and search the entire ship for clues, and they'd come up with nothing. They could safely say that Alanna did seem to have nothing to do with it, other than being a victim, though it seemed odd that they had planned to use her for something and then didn't.
"Perhaps it was the pilot who had planned something, and he died in the crash," Luther had posited.
"We will have to assume that's the case," Varen replied. "There are no other leads, and until something else happens, there isn't anything we can do."
She seemed resigned to it, and not particularly happy about it, and Luther wasn't sure what the solution was. Or even if there was one.
But she hadn't been finished with why she called him there.
"There is no further reason to keep the human woman here," Varen had said. "She isn't of any use to us, and she doesn't belong here."
"What is to be done with her?" Luther had asked, alarmed.
"Oh, calm down," Varen had replied, flapping a hand at him. "She will be sent back to her planet. She is innocent in this, and it's the least we can do."
Relief had gripped him, strong and fierce, and it had occurred to him that he'd never really spent enough time wondering what was going to happen to Alanna once the queen had declared she was done with her.
Immediately after that had been the crushing sense of sadness. If they were done with Alanna, that meant she could go home. And her going home meant that Luther wouldn't see her anymore.
Varen had said more of course, and Luther had immediately volunteered to be the one to escort Alanna home. "She trusts me," he'd said. "It makes sense for me to do it."
The Queen gave him one of her far too perceptive looks, but had relented and allowe
d him to be the one to take her back. She'd said that Prinna would set everything up and that they would be cleared to leave within the next several days.
Luther had left the palace stunned. He'd been expecting to discuss a dive, not this, and now he felt unbalanced and disoriented.
Of course it was for the best for Alanna go to back home. She deserved to be with her people, back where she belonged, but he was going to miss her. She had become such a large part of his life out of nowhere, and he didn't know what to do with the fact that she was soon going to be gone.
He wasn't paying attention to where he was heading, which was probably why he was surprised to see Clio coming up to him. "What are you doing here?" he asked her.
She frowned and turned to look at the looming figure of the tech sphere behind her. "I work here?"
"Oh." Luther blinked and then shook his head to clear it. "Sorry, I wasn't paying attention, clearly."
Clio tipped her head to one side, eying him with concern. "Are you alright? You look like you've had a shock."
"No, no," he said. "I'm fine. Things are just...changing."
"What's changing?"
Luther shook his head.
Clio made an impatient noise. "Luther, I am your best friend, and if you don't tell me what's making you make that lost child expression, I will make you regret it."
He had no doubt that she would, too, so he sighed and let her lead him to their favorite cantina.
"Two of the usual’s, please," Clio called to the bartender. It was still early evening, early enough that most people were still at their jobs, so the cantina was mostly empty, save for a few of the determined regulars in the back.
Clio at least had the decency to wait until they had their drinks before she started prying again. "What happened?"
"I had a meeting with the queen this afternoon," Luther said finally.
"And? Is she kicking you out of the warrior band? Are you not allowed to do dives anymore? Did someone die?"
