Rocked: Elemental Warriors Page 9

His fingers traced the edges of her panties where they led to soft skin, and she shivered under the touch. He was clearly in the mood to explore, and, actually, she rather liked being admired, so it wasn’t a bad thing.

His eyes and fingers followed the same path, and Silvia was so glad that she’d put on nice panties that morning on the off chance that this might happen.

Strong fingers slipped under the delicate fabric, and she held her breath as he started taking her panties off, revealing her most intimate places to his eyes.

She waited there, heart pounding, lifting first one foot and then the other so he could ease her panties down her legs and off.

  "Hills," he breathed.

  "What?"

  "It's...an expression," he said.

Oh. That made more sense. He'd said with a tone of reverence, like it was akin to someone saying 'God' who believed in such beings. That made her feel pretty good, and she spread her legs that last bit wider, rising up onto her toes just a bit.

As first times with someone went, it was a bit more scandalous than she usually went for, but she wasn't going to complain at all when it meant that she was going to feel good.

Kain fumbled to get his pants open, and Silvia looked over her shoulder to see what he was working with.

And, oh yes. She had been right about him being in proportion everywhere. He was long and thick and hard, and she swallowed hard when he took his cock in his hand. Even with as large as his hands were, there was still plenty of his cock left, jutting through his fist and pointing straight at her.

She watched as he stroked it slowly, mouth going dry at the sight. Honestly, who in their right mind would turn down something like this? There was no way that any human man would ever measure up to what she was seeing here, and she got even wetter imagining how it was about to stretch her open when he finally got around to putting it in.

"Come on," she urged breathlessly. "I want it."

"Yeah, I can tell," Kain said, and his voice was so rough that it was nearly touchable, dragging over her skin.

One of his hands moved down to rub between her legs, lingering for a bit before pulling away, and her eyes widened when she realized that he was using her own wetness to slick his cock, preparing it to push into her.

On the one hand, it was a bit embarrassing that she was wet enough for that to be a viable option, and on the other, she was getting wetter by the second.

"Please," she begged. "Please, please, please."

She felt empty and needy and so, so ready for him, and when he lined the blunt head of his cock up with her entrance, she gasped and let her head fall forward, pillowing it on her arms where she was bent over the table.

And then he was pushing, sliding that thick cock into her inch by inch, stealing her breath and making her shake with how good it felt.

"Oh," she gasped, feeling herself stretching to accommodate him.

"You're so tight," Kain groaned, fingers of one hand coming to hold her hip while he guided himself into her. "So tight."

"So big," she countered because that was really what was causing this snug fit.

He snorted and shoved the rest of the way in, catching her by surprise and making her gasp once more. He was bottomed out in her, deep as he could get. She could feel his heavy balls against her body and her own sex was spasming around him, as if it could somehow take him deeper.

It seemed like both of them needed a minute to catch their breaths, and they held still for a moment, just breathing through it.

Kain recovered first, and he began pressing against her in a series of increasingly rough little pushes of his hips, not drawing himself back and out of her, but rutting inside where he was already buried so deep.

Silvia swore. His cock was so thick that it was rubbing against that spot inside of her that made her see stars when it was hit just right. She moaned and pressed back against him, trying to pull forward and get him to thrust normally before she lost it right then and there.

Kain just laughed, a deep husky sound. "Tell me what you want," he murmured, making a circle with his hips that had her biting her lip on a cry. "Come on."

"Move," she begged, nearly sobbing with the need of it. "Do it properly."

He snorted and muttered something about her being bossy, but pulled out enough that the head of his cock was all that was left inside of her before driving forward again, sending her further over the table as he thrust into her.

Silvia did cry out that time, and Kain set a pace that nearly had the table skidding across the kitchen floor.

She spared a moment to feel bad about any of her downstairs neighbors who might be home in that moment, and then her thoughts were immediately consumed by how good this felt.

"Kain," she moaned, taking each thrust. She could hear how wet she was each time he plunged back into her, and that deep coil of pleasure inside of her built and built. It got bigger and tighter, making her toes curl against the cold linoleum, and her fingers balled into fists on the table.

He didn't let up, either. Not even when her first orgasm broke over her, leaving her a panting, gasping mess on the table.

No, he just kept going, both hands on her hips then, pulling her into each deep thrust.

She felt like she couldn't breathe, like she was going to be torn apart by him, but would enjoy every second of it. She was on fire and drowning all at the same time, body shaking with pleasure.

It was more than she was used to, and she was coming again before Kain showed any signs of slowing down.

Just when she was about to wonder how long she was going to be impaled on his cock (and just how hot it would be to spend a day like that), he swore in a language she didn't understand and pushed in deeper, hips stuttering. He groaned her name and then pulled out of her, and she could hear the sounds of him finding his own release.

Once again, they were both motionless for a while. Silvia didn't even know how she was ever going to be able to move again after that, and she was still catching her breath.

She heard the sound of the sink running and then warm, strong hands were on her, pulling her up from the table and lifting her into a pair of even stronger arms. "What are you doing?" she managed to get out.

"Moving you somewhere more comfortable," Kain murmured back.

She snorted a laugh at that.

  "What?"

"Nothing, just... You just had me over my kitchen table like a barbarian and now you're carrying me."

Kain shrugged, and she felt it in his arms. "That's just how I am." He put her down on the couch and grabbed the blanket that she kept slung over the back of it. He spread it out over her, and she wanted to protest that she wasn't going to sleep, except that was exactly what she was going to do, apparently.

The last thing she was really aware of was Kain tucking his cock away, and then she was out like a light.

When she woke up, she heard the sound of someone rummaging in the kitchen. She blinked and rubbed her eyes, yawning and stretching as she sat up.

It was dark outside now, and she was surprised that she had slept that long.

"Kain?" Silvia called, pushing the blanket back and getting to her feet.

A snort came from the kitchen, and Silvia made a face. She recognized that snort, and it was definitely not Kain. Just great.

"No," Bobby said as he stepped into the living room from the kitchen. "But I'm guessing he's the reason your panties are on the kitchen floor."

"Could be. Maybe I was just folding laundry in there," Silvia hedged. She'd known that she needed to have a conversation with Bobby still, but she didn't think it was going to be when she was still feeling the effects of an afternoon of very good sex with someone else.

The thing was, Bobby knew all about her exploits with other people. They weren't together, and he had nothing to say about her flirting or sleeping with whoever she wanted to flirt or sleep with. But she could tell from the look on his face that he wasn't exactly thrilled about it now.

  "In the kitchen, Sil? Really?"

"It's my kitchen," she said, crossing her arms. "I see you just let yourself in again."

"I tried to call first, but you weren't answering your phone. So sue me for being concerned."

Silvia sighed and rubbed at her face with her hand. She was so not in the mood for this right now. She wanted nothing more than to run a bath and enjoy the afterglow of the very good sex she'd had, but nope. Apparently she was doing this. No time like the present, or something.

  "Bobby, I'm fine."

"Yes, I can see that. So where'd you meet this one?"

She considered, for a brief moment, telling him that Kain was the alien who had saved her life a couple of weeks ago. She wondered how he'd take it, knowing that she was sleeping with someone from another planet. It had only happened once, but she already knew she was going to angle for making it happen again.

"None of your business," she said instead. That was easier than starting a fight about it. "He's just someone I met. What's your problem?"

"How long are we going to keep doing this?" he asked.

"Arguing in the living room?" Silvia replied. "I don't know. Hopefully not too much longer because I have stuff to do."

Bobby didn't look amused. He sighed and dragged a hand down his face. "Sil, I...I don't know what you want from me. I'm here. I'm always here. Just waiting for you to...to decide what you want. I'm understanding and open to all the things you do, all the people you see, and I just feel like..."

"Like what?" Silvia asked, voice soft.

"Like I'm going to be waiting forever," he said, and it was nearly inaudible.

She sighed. He sounded so sad, and she'd never wanted that for him. She'd never wanted what had started as a wonderful friendship to end up like this. "Bobby," she said. "We really need to talk, okay? Like, properly talk. Which means you have to listen."

His eyes were troubled and sad, but he nodded, meeting her gaze. "Okay. I'm listening."

  Chapter Seven: The Faultline

Kain was in high spirits for the rest of that day. He'd considered hanging around while Silvia slept, but couldn't decide if that was caring or creepy, so he'd opted to leave.

Comman hadn't told him how long he was supposed to be kicked out for, after all, and his place was at the Prince's side.

When he let himself back into the room, Comman was alone, sitting on the bed with his hands braced against the too soft mattress, eyes closed. There were lines furrowed into his face from where he was thinking too hard, and Kain frowned in response.

  "What's happened?"

Comman opened his eyes slowly and let out a sigh. "Someone was attacked by more of those things," he said.

  Kain swore. "A human?"

"No." The Prince shook his head. "One of the dignitaries here for the meeting. It happened right after we'd broken for midday, so the rest of the talks were cancelled. They're saying..."

  "What?"

"They're saying they think one of us brought the creatures with us."

Kain frowned. That was a serious accusation. "Why would they think that?" he asked. "These are peace talks. It would be counterproductive to peace to do something like that, wouldn't it?"

Comman smiled, but Kain could see the weariness in it. "It would," he said, getting to his feet with a sigh. "Unfortunately, it's hard to be sure of everyone's motivations. Our people have lived in peace for a time, but it wasn't always that way. My mother was a warrior queen for a reason."

  "Because it wasn't safe."

The Prince nodded, stepping towards the window. "Exactly. Back then, people wanted to know where our power came from. They wanted to find the source of it and take it for themselves. That was always the way of it."

  "No one ever did, though."

"Of course they didn't. Even we don't know the font from which the power flows. It could be something on or in the planet or something on or in our blood." The Prince's lips twisted in a wry smile. "I like to think it's the latter. That it's one of those things that skips some people and not others. Like eye or hair color. Or having large feet. If the planet is choosing who to give these powers to..."

Kain understood his point. He stepped forward and clapped a hand to the Prince's shoulder. "You're worthy, Your Highness," he said.

"Am I?" Comman asked, still gazing out of the window. "Sometimes I wonder. I brought us here because I thought it was the right thing to do. I thought it was the best thing for us. But perhaps we should have stayed where we were. I just...I thought if we shared the power around, if we used it to help those who were different from us, then they would want it less. Then we wouldn't have to go back to those days before when even my mother was frightened of what was to come."

"It's a noble dream," Kain said.

"But perhaps just a dream. Perhaps I should learn to accept the way things are."

Hearing his Prince sound so defeated made Kain angry. Here was someone who was trying to do right not only by his people, but also by others as well. And apparently that wasn't good enough for some people. For others, it was something to sabotage, and Kain didn't like it. Right then and there, he made up his mind to get to the bottom of this.

In the back of his mind, he remembered the way he'd pressed Silvia over the table top in her home and how she'd arched and moaned so sweetly for him. None of her barbs had been dulled (her metaphorical barbs, it wasn't like she was one of the sisters he'd picked up that time he'd had to go to Filsas to make a delivery) while they were coupling, and he'd liked that immensely. She hadn't turned into some pliant toy for him, instead she'd pushed back and begged until he'd given her what she wanted.

And it had been so good. The perfect way to spend an afternoon. And, of course, he'd much rather spend his time lying around basking in how good it had felt than deal with trying to hunt down more of these creatures to see where they were coming from, but he did have a duty to his Prince, and that didn't stop just because they were on a different planet now.

So when Comman went to lay down, he slipped into the room adjacent to there's looking for some reasonable help.

Lennos was there, and he looked up with a glare when Kain came in. "Are you satisfied now?" Lennos asked. "Someone has been attacked."

Kain gave him a bland look. "Why would that satisfy me?" he wanted to know. "My job is to keep people safe."

"Because you wanted to come here. You and him." He jerked his head in the direction of the other room. "And now look what's happened."

"It's not Comman's fault that someone got attacked. That's someone else's fault, and I'm going to figure out who before someone else gets hurt."

"Maybe we can go home if that's the case," Lennos said.

Kain huffed a breath and curled his fingers into fists. "They're also attacking humans, these creatures," he said. "And if the humans find out about it, we could all be in danger."

That seemed to at least get Lennos' attention, but Kain wasn't there for him anyway. He turned his gaze to Litta, who was also in the room but who had said nothing so far.

"You want my help," she said, and her voice was amused.

"If you'll give it," Kain replied.

She seemed to consider it for a moment and then nodded. "I will."

The pair of them left the Marriott and walked down the same road that Kain had traveled that first day. He told her, as they walked, about the creatures he'd seen and how they had been after Silvia (though he amended it to 'a human woman' when he told her because he wasn't ready for that to be a thing they all knew about just yet).

She listened with a pensive expression on her face, eyes alert. When they came to the side street where Kain had buried the remnants of the creatures he'd killed, they waited until no one else was around and then worked together to shift the asphalt until they could get to the ground underneath. Under the cover of night, this was easier than it had been in the day time, only...

"They're gone," Kain said. "I buried them right here. Did they decompose?"

&nb
sp; Litta shook her head. "There are no bones left behind. And didn't you say this was mere weeks ago? That would not be enough time for them to vanish completely."

"Unless someone took them," Kain said. "But...they were deep in the ground. Under the asphalt. And the ground looks just as I left it. No one using tools could have done that without leaving a mark behind."

"No," Litta murmured, looking troubled. "Definitely no one with tools."

The implications of that were horrible, and they looked at each other for a moment and then back at the ground. "Do you think...whoever it is wants to pin it on the Prince?"

Litta sighed. "It would be a good way to get to go home."

"Let's not jump to conclusions just yet," Kain said, and he couldn't believe he was the one cautioning restraint in this matter. "Maybe...maybe we have a rogue guard who was already on Earth. Someone we thought was dead. Someone who has a grudge or something."

"It's possible," Litta agreed, but even as she did, Kain knew that she didn't really think it was probable. What most likely was happening here was that one of their number who had come here with the Prince was corrupt. Or at the very least they were trying to cover for someone who was corrupt. Either way, it was a betrayal of the Prince and everything he was trying to do on this trip, and it made Kain sick to think of it.

"I bet it's Lennos," he muttered.

Litta gave him a look. "You just hate Lennos."

  "So? He's easily hateable."

"He just wants to go home."

He didn't want to have a reason not to think badly of Lennos, so he just shrugged a shoulder and used his power to put the ground back where it was supposed to be. At the very least, he had the pictures he'd taken of the creatures, and if worst came to worst, he could ask Silvia to recount what had happened. If anyone would take the word of a human, that was.

  What a mess.

"What do we do now?" Litta asked, looking at him.

Kain sighed and rolled his shoulders, trying to work the tension out of them. "I'm not sure. We need to figure out who did this and to what end. We also need to make sure that none of those things go after more humans or more of the visiting dignitaries."
